PINATA Quick Start Guide

Welcome! Below are some PINATA FAQ to help you get started!

PINATA Basics

  • What is PINATA?

    PINATA is a technology platform built specifically for field marketing and trade promotions. With powerful, easy-to-use software, we make offline campaigns simple to execute, more efficient, and more measurable by bringing all of your work into one centralized command center.

  • How does it work?

    When logging into PINATA, you will see your dashboard fully configured to meet the needs of your company with products, roles, locations, programs, and users. To access your PINATA Dashboard, login at dashboard.gopinata.com.

The PINATA dashboard is your command center for all of your activity on PINATA. The gigs tab is where you will manage all of your activations. Once activations are completed, data from the field will roll up into the Reporting and Financials tab.

Getting Started

  • How do I book a gig?

    Once you are logged into PINATA, navigate to the top right and select Create Gigs to get started! Fill in all necessary information and then click save. You are able to edit these details at any time prior to the activation!

  • What happens next?

    After you book a gig, you can track the status in the Gigs tab. A gig will stay within the Upcoming section until the gig date. At the start of the gig, it will move over to the Live section. Once competed, it will move to the Review section for final approval before moving to Finished. The gigs tab gives you full visibility into everything happening in the field!

Managing Gigs

  • Working with staffing agency partners?

    If so, you can select your agency partner when booking the gig. A notification will get sent to your agency contact through PINATA to confirm the new gig added to the platform. The agency will be responsible for staffing the gig according to the gig details and talent guidance. After the gig is completed, the agency will verify the field report to ensure data accuracy.

  • Working with an internal team?

    If you are using your own team of brand ambassadors, you can learn more about the different options for staffing team members here. After a gig is complete, you will be asked to verifying all field reports to ensure data accuracy. Learn more here!
