About Allied Beverage Group

Allied Beverage Group is an independent, family-owned company, the largest and most comprehensive wine and spirits distributor in New Jersey. We represent several hundred suppliers and manage more SKUs than almost any other wholesaler in the country.

Your Job Description

The primary purpose of this job is to foster the merchandising, promotion, and the selling of concepts to assist sell-thru of the specific products chosen by client suppliers.

This job will be conducted in the Off-Premise Accounts (Retail Stores) of Allied Beverage Group via a list assigned by the manager.

The accounts will be assigned via a route list by the merchandising manager.

The accounts will be visited a minimum of twice a month.

Merchandiser Key Responsibilites

Daily Responsibilities include:

  • P.O.S. installation for the products of our Client Suppliers (floor displays, hanging displays, counter displays, shelf talkers, interior displays, and window signs and displays)

  • Order in-house produced P.O.S. from the Graphics Department when needed.

  • Shelf management for existing client products and new product introduction

  • Rebate coupon distribution, installation, and removal upon expiration

  • Cold-box management for client supplier’s products

  • Restocking of shelves, cold-box, and displays

  • Log all efforts in PINATA as required

  • Take digital pictures of efforts as outlined by the Merchandising Manager and download on to ABG authorized sites

  • Check e-mail regularly during workday via Smartphone or iPad and reply to all e-mail as soon as possible

Occasionally, the merchandiser will be required to:

  • Conduct a data survey by size, price, or shelf position of specified

    product(s)

  • Assist in New Store product shelf placement and floor display setup

    of ABG products, as well as unloading trucks.

  • Assist in existing store make-overs and resets with product shelf

    placement and floor display set up of ABG products

  • Delivery of product in a company vehicle with a NJ transit insignia

  • Set up displays and P.O.S. at trade shows

  • Help train new hires
